DRESSAGE TRAINING FOR SPORT PONIES
Breeding means responsibility and requires a high degree of experience and knowledge. The selective breeding of dressage ponies for equestrian sports aims to enhance desirable characteristics and eliminate undesirable ones as much as possible. And so it is our breeding goal to offer sport ponies that are gentle, uncomplicated, mentally strong, reliable, and kid-friendly. Rideability, willingness to perform, and the performance level coupled with the alert, intelligent character of our dressage ponies also help to provide young riders with an ideal basis.
OUR APPROACH
For us, ponies are not only sporting goods, they are also partners and sensitive creatures. It is very important to us that each of our ponies receives cautious, gentle, and species-appropriate training in multiple disciplines. Thus, the real dressage training is always done incorporating pole lane exercises, cross-country training, groundwork, lunge training, and free jumping. The top-priority is always the horse’s well-being.
PRACTICE & SELECTION CRITERIA
When providing our ponies with their daily as well as diverse training, we focus on calmness, lessons that match their training level, and putting these lessons into practice. For us, it is particularly important to train the ponies in a way that they can be ridden and handled by children. Cross-country riding, lunging and groundwork as well as pasturage are all a natural part of their training with us, forming the foundation to obtain a balanced and calm partner that is willing to perform and that children can rely on in training and at shows.
ALWAYS THE MAIN FOCUS
The main focus is always on training ponies so that they can be ridden by children. Even during training with our young riders, the emphasis is on fun as we work together with the ponies. Because you can only create trust and harmony between the rider and pony when you enjoy riding and have fun.
